AI Disclosure

Last updated: 2026-10-11

Sampaguita News uses artificial intelligence to help produce some of its articles. This page explains exactly how.

Which articles

Articles labeled "AI-assisted" at the bottom of the page were drafted with the help of a large language model. Articles without that label were written entirely by our editor. Press releases are published as written by the issuing organization and are not AI-generated.

How AI-assisted articles are made

  1. We subscribe to the public RSS feeds of established Philippine news organizations. From each feed we collect only the headline, the short summary provided in the feed, the link, and the publication time. We do not scrape the full text of other publishers' articles.
  2. When several outlets report the same story, we group those headlines together.
  3. An AI model is instructed to write an original summary with background and context using only that material, in a neutral tone, without copying sentences and with at most one short direct quotation.
  4. Our editor reads every AI draft, checks it against the sources, edits it as needed, and decides whether to publish. Drafts that cannot be verified are discarded.
  5. Published articles list every source outlet with a link to the original report.

Limits of AI

AI models can misunderstand context or state things with unwarranted confidence. Editorial review reduces but does not eliminate this risk. If you find an error, please tell us through our Corrections Policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not use AI to write about events without a human-reviewed source.
  • We do not generate images of real people or events with AI.
  • We do not use AI to produce opinion or editorial content.
